Women's Foundation of Alabama

For my Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) Spring 2026 capstone internship, I worked full-time at the Women's Foundation of Alabama (WFA). WFA is the leading voice and philanthropic engine advancing gender equity and economic opportunity for women across the state of Alabama. Through the combination of research, grantmaking, and advocacy, WFA works to identify barriers facing women and implement solutions that strengthen families, communities, and Alabama's economy. WFA's work is rooted in data and partnerships. By convening leaders across sectors, investing in innovative programs, and advancing policy solutions, WFA equips partners and supporters to champion initiatives that improve outcomes for women and girls statewide.
